Our client’s finance department was grappling with a high volume of tasks and functions. Employee reimbursement requests were becoming a time-consuming process, often taking 15–20 minutes per file to accomplish.

While manual processing was possible, it proved to be a repetitive process that greatly limited the team’s capacity to handle more valuable work. In order to solve this challenge, we proposed a solution that leveraged Robotic Process Automation (RPA), a technology to easily program and manage software bots as digital assistants to execute rule-based, repetitive tasks

Our Solution

For this project, we leveraged technology like UiPath, a leading RPA platform, that was integrated with an AWS (Amazon Web Services) workspace to automate the screening process for employee reimbursement requests.

The robot assistant was able to automatically process the submissions and quickly validate if there’s an allocated budget for these reimbursement requests. We also provided our client’s accounting and finance team with a cloud-hosted virtual workspace that enabled them to easily access the digital assistant from anywhere and work more efficiently.

Success Delivered

The implementation of our solutions resulted in a resounding success. Our automation and cloud solutions were able to efficiently streamline our client’s reimbursement processing time down to just 3–4 minutes per file. This benefit was able to lead to significant time savings, improved operational efficiency, and a more empowered finance team.
